The following are examples of best practice including two schools where take-up has increased in direct response to changes instigated by teachers, parents and children. School Food Matters has not just looked at numbers. We have highlighted schools with a whole-school food policy that encapsulates the importance of food education through cooking and growing classes and with links to local farming/growing communities. We also look at Merton Parents, who campaigned to improve the entire borough provision and two farmers who understand the importance of school/farm links.
