This is how it works
The competition is designed for children in KS2 and KS3. Competing schools will be offered fun workshops and asked to create a short film showing the life of a food staple - be it a vegetable, a loaf of bread or a good old lamb chop - the journey from farm gate to school plate.
Our panel will judge the best film from Richmond and Kingston and each winning entry will receive an allotment space built within school grounds - a shed, two raised beds and some tools - all compliments of our generous sponsors, Mears.
RHS School Gardening champ and Blue Peter Gardener, Chris Collins has kindly donated his services and will award the allotments and get the students growing.
And we've got brilliant runners-up prizes too!
Waitrose has generously agreed to fully fund a farm visit for 60 children - that's the transport and the farm visit all paid for. Another lucky school will receive a visit from the Nice-Green Van.
How to registerDeadline for registrations is Monday 1st December 2008. All you have to do is click here. We will then be in contact to talk about the next stage.
